BROUGHTON ANGLICAN COLLEGE EXTENSION

The team at A Class Engineering enjoyed working with Artel Constructions to supply and install 42 tonnes of structural steel for the extension at Broughton Anglican College in Menangle Park, just five minutes from Macarthur Square. The Block B upgrade included a new stage and forecourt area for the hall with a covered connecting walkway.

Scope of works:

  • Block B extension
  • Stage Structural Steel
  • Forecourt Steel
  • Galvanised Steel Walkway

This project included not only the usual challenges associated with joining to existing but also required collaboration with the builder and the school to ensure work was completed with minimal disruption to daily school life. The walkway was completed in the holidays. 14 metre single span trusses added logistical challenges during fabrication and installation but overall the project was straight forward and completed on time.
